According to the Rules of issuance of invitation for foreigners for entrance to Ukraine, amended by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №567 from 6/1/2011, foreigners and persons without citizenship, who entered to Ukraine legally, can temporarily stay in territory of the country on the basis of the passport documents registered in an order, established by the Law of Ukraine.
The passport document of foreigner and the person without citizenship is registered in a check point through state border by the official of the State Border Service. Registration is provided for 90 days if other term is not defined in the international agreements. Foreigners and persons without citizenship can be released from registration of the passport document on the basis of the corresponding international treaties of Ukraine on the basis of reciprocity.
If foreigner will stay in Ukraine for more than 90 days, he is required to register in local department of Immigration Service. If the foreign citizen does not undergo registration procedure he is charged with penal sanctions . The penalty can be established from 340 hryvna. To 1700 hryvna.
Registration term depends on the purpose of arrival to Ukraine.

Documents required for registration or prolongation of registration of the foreigner.

On work permit:

The application from a receiving party (enterprise).
The application from the foreigner, concerning prolongation of term of stay in Ukraine.
Copy of the work permission, confirmed by enterprise stamp.
Copy of the registration certificate of the receiving party, confirmed by enterprise stamp.
Copy of the registration form of the enterprise in Immigration Service. (for more details see here>>>)
The original of the passport of the foreigner, and an immigration card (if is).
Copy of the passport of the foreigner with official translation (page with the visa).
2 photos of the foreigner 3,5 х 4,5.
Notarial copy of the lease contract of habitation for residing of the foreigner, confirmed by Office for housing and communal services. If the premise belongs to the enterprise — the documents confirming the property right to a premise.
Payment of receipts of service of Immigration Service and the state tax.

On private entrance:

2 photos of the foreigner 3,5 on 4,5.
The application from the foreigner, concerning prolongation of term of stay in Ukraine.
The original of the passport of the foreigner, and an immigration card (if is).
Copy of the passport of the foreigner with official translation (page with the visa).
Confirmed by Office for housing and communal services statement from the person accepting the foreigner.
The petition from the owner of apartment.
Payment of receipts of service of Immigration Service and the state tax.
